Services

  • Individual Therapy

Individual therapy provides a safe, compassionate, and confidential space to explore and heal from traumatic experiences.

Trauma can look many different ways.  Sometimes specific experiences can stay with us far longer than we’d like them to, creating a heavy weight we carry.  Other times, past relationships, challenging environments, or childhood wounds can create difficulties in our emotional well-being, relationships, self-esteem, or daily functioning.

My approach is personalized to each client’s unique experiences, needs, and goals.  Using a safe therapeutic relationship and evidence-based techniques, we’ll work together to process difficult emotions, understand trauma-related responses, develop healthy coping skills, and build resilience.

  • Therapy for Teens

Trauma doesn’t always look the way we expect among teenagers.  Sometimes it shows up as changes in mood, behavior, school performance, sleep, friendships, or family relationships.  A teen who is struggling may seem more withdrawn, irritable, angry, anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or just disconnected.

My work with teens focuses on building a genuine, nonjudgemental relationship where your teen can feel safe to be open and authentically themselves.

Therapy can help with anxiety, depression, anger, isolation, low self-esteem, and self-blame.  My goal is to help your teen feel understood and supported so they can navigate difficult emotions, build self-awareness and confidence, and move forward in a healthier way.

  • Parenting-Focused Support

Navigating a traumatic event with your child can be devastating, emotionally exhausting, and leave you feeling lost and alone.  Parents helping their children through the hardships of trauma, difficult life-transitions, or grief often put their own needs last.

Parenting-focused therapy helps caregivers empathize with their child, process their own experiences, and improve their ability to care for themselves.  By understanding that “you can’t pour from an empty cup”, parents can develop practical strategies for managing stress, setting healthy boundaries, and responding to their child with more patience, understanding, and connection.

  • EMDR
